2024 Lake Tahoe Litter Summit

Clean Up The Lake (CUTL) needs your help to make the 2024 Lake Tahoe Litter Summit happen and if you donate during this campaign you can take advantage of a generous matching funds provided by Lake Tahoe Community College that will double all donations, up to the first $7,000 raised! 

The goal of the summit, which we plan to host in South Lake Tahoe, is to educate as many people as possible about the alarming litter situation so that we can all work together to make Lake Tahoe litter free.  

CUTL is part of a community of non-profits, government agencies and concerned citizens’ groups that work hard to look after the lake.  As part of our effort, we have removed over 33,000 pounds of trash from Tahoe to date and documented every piece of litter we have removed in our litter database. This summit is an opportunity for us to share our extensive database, that contains information like what types, how much, and where litter gathers, with government agencies, policy makers, land managers, business owners and members of the public.  It also allows for us to hear what important projects other attendees are working on so that we can all work together to take action and reduce litter.
