Raise $60,000 for Truckee Tahoe Environmental Advocacy

Help Mountain Area Preservation (MAP) raise $60,000 for Truckee Tahoe environmental advocacy and donate from December 3rd to December 31st during the Give Back Tahoe campaign to help fund MAP's mission and work! 

Donations will be doubled up to $30,000 due to the generosity of longtime supporters and organizations who believe in MAP's priority campaigns to protect open space, preserve mountain character, and support the Truckee Tahoe community through grassroots environmental advocacy! 

Give Back Tahoe Match  

A huge shout out to our 2024 Give Back Tahoe Match Donors, who provided a $30,000 match to MAP for Give Back Tahoe! Limited Edition Protect Our Mountains Bryn Merrell Hoody Donor Gift

 Not only will donations be DOUBLED during Give Back Tahoe, but the first 50 supporters who donate $250 or more can receive a limited edition MAP, Protect Our Mountains, Bella & Canvas Hoody, with original goshawk artwork by Bryn Merrell, valued at $80.

Protect Our Mountains Raffle

All donors who donate $20 or more can be entered into our Protect Our Mountains raffle. For five weeks of Give Back Tahoe, MAP will raffle off Protect Our Mountains gear and outdoor gear donated by MAP Business Members. Give Back Tahoe donors will receive one raffle entry per $20 donation, so if you donate $100, that is five raffle entries! Winners will be announced via social media stories and contacted directly. Thank you to our Protect Our Mountains Raffle donors Klean Kanteen, Tahoe Gifting Co., Patagonia, Tahoe Mountain School, and Synergy Reps! We are giving away $2,000 worth of Protect Our Mountains gear, outdoor items, and experiences. POM Raffle Rules: Give Back Tahoe donors will receive a raffle entry for every $20 donation. Donors can opt out of the raffle by emailing MAP at info@mapf.org. MAP will host five Give Back Tahoe raffles for five weeks of the campaign, giving back to our supporters who make MAP happen! By donating a minimum of $20 during Give Back Tahoe from December 3rd to December 31st, you will be entered to win one of MAP’s five Protect Our Mountains Raffle Packages.

MAP 37 Years Strong

Mountain Area Preservation's (MAP) mission is to preserve the Truckee-Tahoe region's mountain character and the natural environment for present and future generations. 

MAP was founded thirty-seven years ago by concerned citizens and has become the leading advocate for sound land use planning to protect our region's fragile landscapes from the impacts of poorly planned growth. MAP is a member-based environmental advocacy organization that serves the Truckee and North Lake Tahoe communities.

Since 1987, our work has protected more than 7,000 acres from the threats of poorly planned development in unique places such as Historic Downtown Truckee, Martis Valley, Donner Summit, Brockway Summit, and now Canyon Springs in Eastern Truckee. Through civic action and negotiations, MAP's land use advocacy efforts have fostered the creation of community benefits such as trails, parks, and more than 700 workforce housing units.
