brings together artists from around the world to perform in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

OUR MISSION

is to promote classical, modern and contemporary dance of the finest quality in the Lake Tahoe area through performance, education and outreach, enriching the community as a whole and as a cultural destination.

IN OUR 15 YEARS

we've presented over 50 performance series with over 60 shows with over 75 guest artists to share their knowledge and expertise... both in our studio and on our stage.

We have been unwavering in our mission of bringing choreographers, dancers and teachers of the highest caliber to our local audiences and students, creating the kinds of cultural experiences often only available in urban settings.

We've offered classes at affordable rates for dancers ages three and up in the American Ballet Theater National Training Curriculum© and with master teachers in a variety of styles from around the country. Our students have gone on to study with some of the countries most illustrious companies, schools and university dance programs.

We've showed everything from commissioned world premieres to archival works rarely performed, and did it all while keeping ticket prices under $30.

SEE US IN ACTION!

LTDC’s production of Tahoe Nutcracker premiered in 2019 and is set in the ballroom of the Tahoe Tavern on Christmas Eve one hundred years ago. This year’s performances features New York City Ballet's Adrian Danchig-Waring and Indiana Woodward  alongside local dancers and community members on stage together in this holiday classic.
