Tahoe Fund

The Tahoe Fund is the only nonprofit dedicated to funding environmental improvement projects in the Lake Tahoe Basin. Since 2010, the Tahoe Fund has built a portfolio of over 130 projects in the areas of forest health, lake clarity, sustainable recreation, stewardship, and transportation. 

Thanks to the generosity of our many donors, we have leveraged $20 million in private funding to secure more than $80 million in public funding for these projects. We have helped repair watersheds, remove aquatic invasive species, build new sections of bike paths and inspire greater stewardship of Tahoe.  

With a gift to the Tahoe Fund, your philanthropy can power: 

• Innovative ideas and technologies that will make our forests healthier
• Removal and control of aquatic invasive species
• Critical work on trails in North Lake Tahoe and on the East Shore  
• Adaptive summer recreation programs for people with disabilities (every dollar donated to this program before Dec 31 will be doubled until we reach our $50,000 goal!)
